Terms & Conditions

1. Services Provided
MyHandymanNJ offers handyman services including, but not limited to: TV mounting, furniture assembly, light fixture installation, plumbing fixes, drywall repair, and general home maintenance. Scope of work is defined at the time of booking or upon site inspection.

2. Scheduling & Cancellations
Appointments must be scheduled in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

3. Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, credit cards, and electronic payments. Prices listed on the website are starting rates and may vary based on scope, location, or site-specific conditions.

4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
– Ensure access to the work area at the agreed time
– Disclose known hazards or structural concerns
– Provide safe working conditions and necessary permissions

5. Warranties & Limitations
We strive for quality workmanship. Warranty applies only to labor performed by MyHandymanNJ and does not extend to client-provided materials or pre-existing defects.

6. Customer Satisfaction, Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy

We stand behind the quality of our work and aim for full customer satisfaction.
If you are not satisfied with the service provided, you must notify us in writing within 3 days of project completion.

  • Remedy First:
    We reserve the right to inspect and remedy any defects or issues before any refund or discount is considered. You must allow us reasonable access to fix the issue. If you refuse, all claims for refund or additional work are void.

  • Dispute Resolution:
    In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve the matter directly. If we cannot reach an agreement, both parties agree to pursue third-party mediation before any legal action.

  • Refund Policy:
    Refunds or discounts will only be issued if the issue cannot be reasonably repaired or remedied. No refunds will be issued for issues that could have been addressed through remedy or rework.

7. Liability Disclaimer
MyHandymanNJ is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from:
– Pre-existing structural, plumbing, or electrical conditions
– Customer-supplied parts, materials, or installation instructions
– Work performed against professional advice
– Hidden hazards or unsafe site conditions
– Delays due to weather, material shortages, or unforeseen issues

Clients are responsible for ensuring safe access to the work area. We reserve the right to decline service if safety cannot be guaranteed.

8. Changes to Terms
MyHandymanNJ reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
